Glossary
Most frequently used terms in the Reflectis documentation:
| Term | Meaning |

| Tenant | The highest organisational layer of the platform. Each tenant has its own registration portal and URL. |
| Tenant Manager | Tenant-wide admin; can create/edit worlds, manage tenant-scoped environments, and configure world permissions/modes. |
| World | A self-contained space inside a tenant, with its own users, experiences and environments. |
| World Owner | Admin of a specific world; manages that world’s content, files, users and settings (within tenant rules). |
| Member | End user with access to one or more worlds (no Back-Office rights by default). |
| Back Office | The admin site used to configure worlds, content, permissions and analytics. |
| Dashboard | In-world panel (tablet or fixed screen) exposing Catalog, Schedule, and My Experiences. |
| World Mode | How users enter a world: Catalog (browse content) or Play (launch the Default Experience). |
| Play Mode | Landing page shows a single Play button that starts the world’s Default Experience. |
| Default Experience | The Core Experience that launches when a world is in Play mode (External Apps cannot be default). |
| Experience | Interactive content built on an Environment. Types: Core (created in Back-Office) and Authored (duplicated/customised in-app). |
| External App | Catalog item that opens an external application (web/deep link); the user is logged in automatically on launch. |
| Session | A live or scheduled run of an experience (single-player or multiplayer). |
| Lobby | The waiting/join area for multiplayer sessions. |
| Shard | A server instance for a session. Capacity rules limit how many users fit in one shard and how many shards can be active. |
| Capacity limit | When enabled, blocks spawning new shards after the world’s per-shard maximum users is reached. |
| Catalog | The searchable grid of Experiences/External Apps with filters, tags and the featured carousel. |
| Content Tag | Flat labels used to classify Environments, Experiences and Sessions. |
| Environment | A 3D scene that can be turned into one or more experiences. |
| Tenant Environment | Environment managed at tenant scope, shareable with multiple worlds; usable in worlds but read-only there. |
| Asset | Media or 3D item that can be spawned in an environment (images, videos, GLB, PDFs). |
| Tools | Creative utilities (e.g., laser pointer, whiteboard, 3D pencil, Textbox). |
| Textbox | 2-D text tool with font/size/style/alignment/background; resizable; edits sync to all users. |
| My Experiences | In-app area to manage Authored experiences (edit, publish/unpublish, duplicate, delete). |
| Schedule | Catalog tab showing “Live Now” and calendar of upcoming sessions; includes My Sessions. |
| Experience Overlay | Catalog pop-up with Detail and Sessions tabs; actions: Sessions, Multiplayer, Start for me. |
| Leaderboards | World rankings fed by experiences. Configured in Back-Office; landing page shows tables and the user’s position. |
| Logic key | Unique identifier used by SDK/Creator Kit to write scores to a specific leaderboard. |
| Presence Analytics | Charts of user activity over time (recent 3 weeks). |
| Experience Analytics | List/detail of experience runs with participants, steps and CSV export; requires Creator Kit nodes. |
| External LRS | Optional integration with an external Learning Record Store configured in World Analytics. |
